Concordia College Military Students / School Certifying Official

Private four-year college in Moorhead that certifies VA education benefits for its own enrolled and incoming students, processing GI Bill chapters 30, 31, 32, 33, 35, and 1606. Concordia participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program for undergraduates entitled to the 100 percent Chapter 33 rate, contributing up to 50 percent of remaining tuition and fees with a matching VA share. School certifying official Sarah Davis (218-299-4724, [email protected]) works in the Registrar's Office in Lorentzsen Hall and also handles questions about the Minnesota GI Bill, Federal Tuition Assistance, and Minnesota State Tuition Reimbursement.

Minnesota State Moorhead's on-campus center for military-connected students, providing GI Bill certification, help maximizing education benefits, and counseling. Staff include a veterans resource outreach director, a military-connected career coach, and an on-site Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs Higher Education Veterans Program benefits specialist. M State (Minnesota State Community and Technical College) Veterans Services - Moorhead Campus

M State's veterans services help service members, veterans and their families understand and apply for federal and state education benefits. Getting started runs through a Veteran Benefits Signup Form and a military-to-M State checklist covering admissions, transcript evaluation, benefits and financial aid. A regional veterans coordinator keeps offices at the Moorhead, Detroit Lakes and Wadena campuses, and a school certifying official handles VA benefit certification; the college's toll-free line is 877-450-3322.

NDSU's VA certifying office. Certifies student enrollment for GI Bill and other VA education benefits (Chapters 30, 31, 33 and others), assists with tuition assistance and military transfer credit, and handles enrollment accommodations for students called to active duty. Email [email protected]; office hours 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Mon-Fri during fall and spring semesters, until 4:00 p.m. over breaks and summer.

North Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs - State Approving Agency (Education)

The State Approving Agency reviews, approves, and supervises North Dakota schools, apprenticeships, and on-the-job training programs so veterans, dependents, Guard members, and reservists can use GI Bill benefits at them. It is mainly institution-facing, but it is the office to call if you want to confirm a specific ND school or apprenticeship is VA-approved before enrolling.
