Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you submit our contact form, start a chat, email us, or apply to a role, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, company or organization, the content of your message, and — for candidates — your resume, work history, military service details, and clearance status.
- Recruiting information. As part of placement, we may collect references, interview notes, background and reference-check results, and information employers share about open roles.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our host may log standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps for security and performance. We load Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when serving font files.
How we use your information
We use personal information to respond to your inquiry, match candidates to roles, present candidates to employers, carry out the recruiting and placement process, maintain our talent network, comply with legal obligations, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal information.
The Bullhorn applicant system
Our open-roles board and applicant tracking run on Bullhorn, a third-party recruiting platform. When you apply through the job board or we add you to our pipeline, your candidate information is stored and processed in Bullhorn under its security and privacy practices. Bullhorn acts as our service provider for that data.
AI assistant & resume help
Our website chat ("Ask LockLeed") and the AI writing help in the Resume Studio send the text you enter — and, for the chat, the first name and email you provide — to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate a response. That information is processed only to answer your question or draft resume content; it is not used to train AI models. Please don't enter sensitive identifiers (such as a Social Security number) into the chat or resume fields. The Resume Studio keeps your draft in your own browser and never uploads it unless you choose to email it or use the AI help.
Cookies & analytics
This site uses only the cookies and local storage needed for core functionality (for example, remembering your chat session). If we add web analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, request your consent.
How we share information
- With employers. For candidates we represent, we share relevant profile information with prospective employers as part of placement — with your awareness.
- With service providers. We share data with vendors who help us operate, such as Bullhorn (applicant system) and our email and hosting providers, under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
We never sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain our talent network, and meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping requirements. You may ask us to remove your information from our active network at any time.
Your choices & rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR; we honor applicable requests. To unsubscribe from email, use the opt-out link or simply reply asking to be removed.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; please avoid sending sensitive identifiers (such as Social Security numbers) through the website contact form or chat.
Third-party links
Our site links to external resources (for example, VA.gov, LinkedIn, and partner sites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; review their policies separately.
Children's privacy
Our services are intended for adults seeking or offering employment. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
