Reuniting After War’s Bash For The Brave and Finding Military Talent

Founded in 2016, Reuniting After War brings combat veteran units that deployed before 2012 back together for four-day, three-night reunions in northern Minnesota, covering everyone’s travel, lodging and meals. It had hosted five reunions for more than 150 veterans, who fish, golf and relax around a campfire, and participants said the weekends helped them heal. A bipartisan Senate bill aimed to make the Work Opportunity Tax Credit permanent before its scheduled expiration at the end of 2019. Employers can claim $1,200 to $9,600 for each worker they hire and keep from groups often shut out of the job market, veterans and people with disabilities among them, with the amount set by the wages paid.
