Process Engineer
The Process Engineer I ensures Process Engineering Standards and how they relate to the development, documentation, and production of all products at All Flex. The Process Engineer I has a thorough understanding of circuit assembly and design variables which affect product quality. The Process Engineer I reports to the Process Engineering Manager.
Essential Job Duties
· Own and back-up a limited number of processes.
· Support Operations with process, equipment, instruction, material, and part number challenges.
· Own daily root cause analysis on failures, and corrective and preventative actions.
· Fully document Standard Operating Procedures, Control Plans, Risk Mitigations, Environmental Health & Safety Requirements. Photo and video-based instructions are desired.
· Write assembly instructions for part numbers as needed.
· Participate in cross-functional improvements.
· Own small projects.
· Support audits and customer visits.
· Maintain and improve process controls and process capability.
· Corroborate with and travel to other AFS factories, to grow knowledge.
· Provide occasional evening and weekend phone support.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
· Bachelor’s of Science degree in an engineering field: manufacturing, mechanical, chemical, electrical, or industrial, or similar studies.
Experience and/or Training
· 0-2 years of relevant experience
· Experienced with Minitab.
· Experience with SPC, Lean Manufacturing implementation, Theory of Constraints or Cell Manufacturing
Technology/Equipment
· Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Travel
· Up to 5%
