JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY:
The Machine Operator III is accountable for safety, quality, productivity, technical excellence, and
process compliance within the assigned work area. This is the highest-level machine operator role and
requires advanced technical expertise, versatility, and proficiency in operating a variety of machines,
tools, and measuring equipment across multiple manufacturing processes.
The Machine Operator III serves as a technical resource and role model for operational excellence by
sharing knowledge, supporting training efforts, resolving operational challenges, and promoting process
discipline across the work center. The successful candidate demonstrates ownership, accountability,
sound judgment, and a commitment to operational excellence while consistently embodying the

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Expertise & Production Execution
? Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment, tools, and measuring devices with a high level of
proficiency and accuracy.
? Demonstrate flexibility by operating across multiple machines, processes, and work areas to
support business needs and production requirements.
? Support production activities including machine operation, setup assistance, cleanup, inspection,
deburring, taping, banding, packaging, and preparation of materials as required.
? Demonstrate advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, SPC, control plans, quality
specifications, work instructions, drawings, and packaging requirements while communicating
production requirements to support successful production runs and operational efficiency.
? Meet established production rates and performance expectations while maintaining process
consistency and product quality.
? Perform preventive maintenance activities and support troubleshooting efforts to maximize
equipment reliability and performance.
? Maintain accurate transactions and documentation within applicable manufacturing systems.
Training, Knowledge Sharing & Team Support
? Serve as a technical resource and skilled trainer by supporting employee skill development
across multiple machines and manufacturing processes while reinforcing standardized work
practices, process requirements, and operational expectations.
? Support machine qualifications, program modifications, process implementation activities, and
special projects as needed.
? Collaborate effectively with team members and departments to support operational objectives and
workforce flexibility.
Quality, Safety & Process Compliance
? Perform all work in accordance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, work instructions, and
quality standards while actively identifying and communicating opportunities to improve safety
and quality performance.
? Perform required quality, equipment, and output inspections to ensure products consistently meet
established specifications.
? Support quality testing activities, investigations, and corrective actions when required.

? Safely handle, transport, and store approved materials in accordance with established procedures
and regulatory requirements when applicable.
? Maintain compliance with established manufacturing processes, control plans, work instructions,
and documentation requirements.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
? Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities and initiatives that enhance safety,
quality, productivity, workflow efficiency, and overall operational performance.
? Apply technical expertise and problem-solving skills to help resolve production challenges and
improve overall efficiency.
? Demonstrate ownership, accountability, adaptability, and a commitment to achieving operational
results.
? Accept and perform additional responsibilities as assigned in support of departmental and
organizational objectives.
PREFERRED AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school Diploma or equivalent
Experience and/or Training: Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience required. Demonstrated advanced
technical proficiency in manufacturing processes, equipment operation, troubleshooting, and quality requirements.
Proven ability to train and support employees across multiple machines, processes, and work areas. Ability to
operate a variety of machinery, saws, drills, hand tools, measuring devices, and related manufacturing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret product drawings, work instructions, specifications, and production documentation.
Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Ability to prioritize multiple
responsibilities and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail with a
commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
Technology/Equipment: Proficient computer skills required. Experience using manufacturing software, production
reporting systems, and standard Microsoft Office applications preferred.

? Must be able to withstand repetitive movements.
