The Minnesota National Guard’s 34th Red Bull Infantry Division wrapped up a ten-month tour leading U.S. Central Command’s Task Force Spartan, and more than 650 of its soldiers left the Middle East, stopping in Texas to demobilize on the way home. Brigades under the division, from artillery and engineers to armor and aviation, numbered over 9,000 troops working in nearly 20 countries. A welcome home ceremony was set for August 27 at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.
