Production Supervisor
Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily
manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
This role involves supervising production staff, optimizing workflows, and ensuring that
production goals align with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management:
? Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet targets.
? Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
? Ensure products meet quality standards and resolve any production issues.
? Optimize resource utilization to maximize efficiency.
Team Leadership:
? Lead, train, and mentor production staff to improve performance and productivity.
? Assign tasks and monitor employee progress to ensure deadlines are met.
? Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
? Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
Quality & Safety Compliance:
? Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry
standards.
? Enforce health and safety guidelines to minimize workplace hazards.
? Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
Inventory & Equipment Management:
? Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and coordinate with procurement to
prevent shortages.
? Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained and in good working condition.
? Work with maintenance teams to schedule equipment repairs and minimize
downtime.
Reporting & Documentation:
? Maintain accurate production reports and records.
? Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
? Communicate with senior management about production status, challenges, and
recommendations.
Qualifications & Skills:
? Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field
(preferred).
? Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing
environment.
? Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
? Knowledge of lean manufacturing and process improvement techniques.
? Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
? Proficiency in production software and Microsoft Office.
Work Environment:
? Fast-paced manufacturing setting.
? Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
? May involve working in shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
