What does LockLeed do? +
LockLeed is a veteran-owned military staffing and executive-search firm in Minneapolis. We place vetted, mission-ready veterans into direct-hire roles for employers, and we help transitioning service members find civilian careers.
How much does it cost to hire through LockLeed? +
We work on a contingency model. An engagement fee activates the search and applies toward the placement fee on a successful hire; the balance is due only when your candidate accepts. If we don't place someone, you don't pay the placement fee.
How fast will I see candidates? +
Most clients receive a first slate of 2–4 vetted finalists within 5–10 business days of the requirements brief, with full placement typically in 30–45 days.
What is the placement guarantee? +
If a placement doesn't work out within the guarantee period, we go back to work at no additional cost. Ask us for the current guarantee terms when we scope your role.
What industries and roles do you cover? +
Ten sectors — aerospace & defense, manufacturing, energy & infrastructure, engineering, operations leadership, supply chain & logistics, cybersecurity & IT, federal & government contractors, maintenance & reliability, and program & project leadership — from front-line supervisors and technicians to plant managers, engineers, and executives.
Do you place contract or temporary roles? +
No. LockLeed focuses exclusively on direct-hire, permanent placement.
Are you nationwide? +
We're headquartered in Minneapolis and focused on the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota, backed by a national veteran talent network for the right search.
Do you place candidates with security clearances? +
Some veterans in our network hold active security clearances, which can be valuable for government-adjacent roles. If your role requires one, tell us and we'll factor clearance status into the search.

Does it cost anything for veterans? +
No. LockLeed is always free for job-seeking veterans and transitioning service members. Employers pay us to place vetted talent.
What happens after I submit my resume? +
A recruiter reviews it and reaches out to learn your goals, then matches you to direct-hire roles that fit. You can also apply to live openings on our job board any time.
Do I have to be a veteran to work with LockLeed? +
We specialize in military and veteran talent — that focus is what we do best. If you've served, we're built for you.
What free tools do you offer? +
The MOS Translator (turn your military job into civilian titles and keywords), Résumé Studio (build an ATS-ready resume with AI help), a live job board, and a searchable board of national and Minnesota veteran resources.
Is my information kept confidential? +
Yes. We only share your profile with an employer when you're a fit and the process moves forward.
