Trailer Technician - 3rd shift

We are a Minnesota based family-owned business with our main location in Blaine MN. Blaine Brothers is looking for In-shop Technicians for the Trailer Shop. This position handles the complete repair and general maintenance of semi-trailers, as well as, all other styles and sizes of trailers. We are looking for someone detail oriented, strong mechanical aptitude, and a strong work ethic.

SCHEDULE:
3rd Shift, Sunday-Thursday, 9pm-7am (approx. 40-60 hours per week)  

 

 

BENEFITS:

WAGE: 

$27- $38/hr (varies based on skillset and experience) 

 

The essential duties include:

  • Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
  • Perform repair and customization work as assigned including routine maintenance, brake replacement/repair, suspension repair, electrical and pneumatic and hydraulic component troubleshooting and repair, trailer body repair including complete trailer rebuild.
  • Provide after-sale services, such as component installation
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
  • Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers

Requirements

 We'd love to have you as part of our team. The ideal candidate would have the following skills:

  • Great work ethic
  • Willingness to jump in and help out where needed
  • Technical aptitude with basic electric diagnostic / troubleshooting experience a plus
  • Welding experience a plus
  • Basic tool set and tool box to start (assistance programs available)
  • Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliability and a dedication to be a hard worker
  • Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient and friendly work environment
  • Honesty and respect
